Terms of service
Last updated 18 August 2026
The short version: DueVigil records your unpaid invoices and emails polite reminders about them, in your name. It does not handle money and it does not collect debts.
What the service does
You record an invoice. If it is still unpaid after its due date, DueVigil emails the recipient on days 3, 7 and 14 past that date, from your name, with replies going to you.
Reminders stop the moment an invoice is marked paid, written off, or paused, and you can cancel any individual reminder before it goes out.
What it is not
DueVigil is not a payment processor. It never holds, moves or touches your money, and it takes no percentage of anything you collect.
It is not a debt collection agency and takes no legal action of any kind on your behalf. It writes emails; that is all it does.
Nobody can promise your client will pay. DueVigil promises only that the reminders will go out as scheduled.
What is expected of you
That the invoices you record are real, that the amounts are accurate, and that you have a genuine business relationship with everyone you add as a client.
Sending reminders to people who never received an invoice from you is a misuse of the service, and it damages the sending domain for every other user on it.
Delivery is not guaranteed
Whether an email reaches an inbox depends on the recipient's mail server, not on us. Reminders can be delayed, filtered as spam, or refused, and none of that is within our control.
New accounts are limited to a small number of reminders a day until an email address is confirmed, and every account has a daily ceiling. If an account's messages start bouncing or being marked as spam at a high rate, sending from it is suspended automatically until it is looked at.
Plans and payment
The free plan allows two new invoices a month. Going over it never loses data: further invoices save normally, but their reminders wait until the next month or until you upgrade.
Paid plans are billed in advance and can be cancelled at any time, taking effect at the end of the period already paid for. Prices may change, with notice, and never for a period already paid.
Refunds
The first payment on a paid plan is refunded in full if you ask within 14 days, for any reason, with no explanation needed. One email to hello@duevigil.com is enough, and the money goes back the way it came.
Renewals after that are not refunded as a rule, because cancelling is always available and keeps the plan running to the end of the period already paid for. The exception is a renewal that caught you by surprise: if you had not used the plan since it charged, say so and it will be refunded anyway.
A refund closes the paid plan. The account and everything in it stay, on the free plan.
Ending it
You can close your account whenever you like, and your data is deleted with it.
We may suspend an account that is being used to email people who never did business with the account holder, or that puts the sending domain at risk.
Liability
DueVigil is provided as it is. It is a reminder tool, not a guarantee of payment, and it cannot be held responsible for an invoice going unpaid, for an email a recipient never saw, or for any business decision made on the strength of what the app displays.
Where liability cannot be excluded by law, it is limited to the amount paid for the service in the twelve months before the claim.
